Donate to PTA

The Will Rogers PTA counts on you for your continued support in providing the best possible learning environment for our children. Gifts to our school through both the PTA and the Santa Monica Education Foundation represent your dedication to the student experience and to helping make every day at Will Rogers enriching and engaging. This important, collective effort brings opportunities for learning and discovery, as well as the ability for our school to be responsive to emerging prospects and challenges.

Each spring, our PTA executive committee meets to determine our budgetary goals for the school year, and this year our goal is to raise $30,000 through our Will Rogers Fund and direct donations. Please help by giving whatever amount you can.

Tax-deductible donations to the Will Rogers Fund can be made at any time throughout the year.

Thank you for your continued support of students at Will Rogers!

Does your employer have a charitable matching gifts program?

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations.   It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.  You'll need our tax ID,  #23-7017326. If you have questions or need help, please email treasurer@willrogerspta.com

Our annual direct donation drive is our biggest fundraiser, and the best way to make a direct impact! Donations are tax-deductible, and help raise critical funds for our students. Help us reach our school wide goal - donate online or by sending a check (made to "Will Rogers PTA") or cash to the main office at school.

The suggested district-wide ask is $750 per child. We ask that families donate an amount that is meaningful to them. Our community is built from a varied range of circumstances, and that diversity is what makes this a wonderful district for students!

Thanks to generous contributions to the Ed Foundation, Will Rogers students benefit from the following programs and resources:

  • Arts classes for all students

  • Classroom aides (helping with small group instruction, reading intervention, social-emotional support, and more)

  • Regenerative Farm classes

  • Staff training with Columbia Univ. Teachers College

  • Spanish Through the Arts program

  • Recorders for 3rd graders

  • Music lessons and instruments for qualifying students

  • Additional library books and materials

  • Assistant teachers in 4th & 5th grade music classes

Our goal for the Will Rogers Fund this year is $30,000, and we hope that every family contributes what they can to help us reach that goal. Direct Donations to PTA pay for things we take for granted – supplemental supplies and decor for classrooms, PE equipment, books, field trips, and so much more around our campus – things not funded by the State or District. Any donation of any amount is appreciated!

The Will Rogers PTA counts on you for your continued support. Your donation is used toward these and other PTA priorities for the year:

  • Library support

  • Educational (math/reading/typing) software programs

  • Supplemental classroom supplies for every classroom

  • 5th Grade activities

  • Student Scholarships

  • Regenerative Farm Support and Campus Beautification

  • Special programs, field trips, and assemblies

SHOULD I GIVE TO BOTH ED FOUNDATION AND THE PTA AT MY SCHOOL?

YES, please donate to the Ed Foundation and your PTA!

Both PTA and the Ed Foundation are critical funding sources for local schools.

Donations to the Ed Foundation pay for staff and programs during the school day at all Santa Monica schools. The Ed Foundation is the only organization that can fundraise for these programs. The district made the decision to centralize fundraising for these programs to ensure that every student has equitable access to quality enrichment programs and to correct human resource liability issues arising from nonprofits hiring additional staff. All annual donations to the Ed Foundation are granted to the district to be spent on staff and programs. For more information about this district policy, Mission and History section on the Ed Foundation’s website.

Donating to both the Ed Foundation and PTA is very important.
