Giving Tuesday – Triple Your Donation!
Triple your donation today!
It’s #GivingTuesday and today your donation to the Ed Foundation will be tripled thanks to some exciting matches!
Match 1: An incredible $65,000 match to fund tutoring for socio-economically disadvantaged students.
When you donate to the Ed Foundation to support arts, STEM, wellness and other essential programs, match donors will make a dollar-for-dollar matching gift to fund tutoring for socio-economically disadvantaged youth in Santa Monica schools, up to $65,000. This match will run through December 18 and ensure socio-economically disadvantaged students receive the academic help they need during distance learning.
The $65,000 match is made possible by: $50,000 from an anonymous donor, $10,000 from the Nancy and Nimish Patel Family Foundation, and $5,000 from the Appelbaum-Kahn Foundation.
Match 2: Today only, RAND will match all donations up to $3,000
Please make your gift by 11:59 tonight at smedfoundation.org and make three times the difference.

Fight the Flu!
The SMMUSD Council of PTAs wishes to remind you that this year it is especially important for you to protect yourself and your family against the seasonal flu. The CDC has helpful information regarding seasonal flu on their website. You can click on these links for more information in English or Spanish.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/index.htm
https://espanol.cdc.gov/flu/
The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older get the annual flu vaccine by the end of October. However, getting vaccinated anytime during the flu season will benefit you. Again, please refer to their website for more information and ask your doctor any questions you may have.
