Stem Focused

As a STEM school, we have an in-house STEM Coordinator who meets regularly with each grade's team of teachers to co-construct ways to integrate STEM into their curriculum areas with using experimentation, observation, and critical thinking skills in all subject areas.

Community

Our priority is to provide learning opportunities for students, parents, and teachers that encourage lifelong learning and collaborate with parents and the greater community to support student success. We create a nurturing environment in which students, parents, and staff members feel valued.

Curriculum

We know that all children can learn and believe that social development is as important as academic development. Rogers integrates technology to enhance learning while designing rigorous, standards-based learning experiences that meet students' diverse needs.

Upcoming School Tours

Each tour of the school last 90 minutes and begins in the library with a presentation and Q&A session with the principal, Ryan Bourke, followed by a tour of the school by current parents and PTA members. Enrollment packets are available in February and require you to come to the front office and present the proof of residency requirements below.

Required Proof of Residency

In order to obtain an enrollment packet, residents, parents, and/or legal guardians must be present at the front office during normal hours and provide one form of identification from the blue column and a type of proof of residency from the white column.

Identification

One (1) of the following:

  • Current California Driver’s License or

  • California Identification with address in Santa Monica or Malibu or

  • A government-issued passport

Property Owner

  • Title of Property and current Water, or Gas or Electric Bill or 
  • Income Tax Cover Sheet or Property Tax Bill and Current Water or Gas or Electric Bill 

With

  • Utility service contract, statement, or payment receipt
  • Pay check stub
  • Voter registration
  • Correspondence from a government agency

*Utility bill invoices must be within the last 45 days.

Property Renter

  • Rental Agreement with original signatures indicating whether utilities are paid as part of rental agreement

With

  • Current Water, Gas or Electric Bill. (if not included with rent)

And

  • Utility service contract, statement, or payment receipt
  • Pay check stub
  • Voter registration
  • Correspondence from a government agency

*Utility bill invoices must be within the last 45 days.

Affidavit of Residency

Students residing with another family in Santa Monica or Malibu must be able to provide the above (one form of identification from the blue column and a type of proof of residency from the white column) AND the following:

Resides with another family in Santa Monica or Malibu

  • Affidavit of residency (obtainable by the office). Notary not required.
  • Three pieces of Current mail from three different sources (opened or unopened) containing date or postmark within the last 45 days (ex. Credit card company, doctor or insurance office, AFDC, or other

Mail must be official with parent/legal guardian name.  Personal mail or Post Office Box numbers are not acceptable. No photo copies of bills or mail will be accepted. Phone bills may not be used to meet the utility bill requirement. Utility bill invoices must be within the last 45 days.
