How to enter
1. Make your piece
Create something new inspired by “What My Culture Means to Me,” in any of the six categories. Each category has its own requirements.
Category guidelines2. Name it and explain it
Give your piece a title and write a short artist statement (10 to 100 words) about what inspired it and how it connects to the theme.

Reflections Art Night
Friday, October 9, 5:30 p.m., in the Will Rogers Cafetorium. Come make your Reflections piece with help from our volunteer experts. Every student, every idea, all six categories are welcome, and everyone who comes has a shot at a $25 Blick Art Materials gift card.

About Reflections
Does your student love to draw, dance, sing, write, snap photos, or make movies? Reflections is their stage. Every year, more than 300,000 students across the country create original work in response to a student-selected theme. This 50-year-old National PTA program helps kids explore their ideas, build confidence, and discover a love of creating, and entries can advance to state and national recognition.
At Will Rogers, students enter the Primary division (through grade 2) or the Intermediate division (grades 3–5). The Special Artist division welcomes students of all grades who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or Section 504; they may enter it or the grade division closest to their abilities.
